Google Talk does voicemail

Get yourself the latest version of Google Talk (currently 1.0.95) from File Hippo and download the Latest Version (upper right corner).

Aside from the new option to show what you’re currently listening to in your ‘away’ line, GTalk has uncovered Voicemail..

Voicemails can be sent to *any* email addresses…not just Gtalk users. This is not a new concept, but it’s very simple and easy and good through Gtalk.. And the answering machine lady is adorable so it makes for happy.

Came to my attention yesterday because my mother wanted to listen to the answering machine voice since her sister had left her a voicemail filled straight with laughter because she had been so amused by the answering machine message.. and a second one thereafter in which she and her son (my cousin) called back to listen to the voice again and laughed and laughed.

So yes, get the latest version, and play. :)
