An ordinary servant but the most peculiar task
an obvious decision I was too afraid to ask
you’ve given me this bowl of water

Vision is much clearer when the dew is on the ground
well just the other morning there was not a drop that I had found
‘think it’s time for me to put this doubt on a shelf
and keep it there forever, right beside my former self.

Now the fleece is on the floor
and I’m asking you once more
to show me a sign so I know that it’s divine
A bowl that’s full of water

Don’t let your anger burn against me;
answer my request
‘less you think I’m out of line here,
cuz I put you to the test
miracles, they happen every day.
