slated in prose/poetry

Tell me truly you would have me
And we would share the world
Your voice would fill my heart with promises
And we could keep them together
If I am all you see
When you take me to your lips
I will trust in your embrace
To hold me alone where no one has or will be held beside
If you’ll look for me to the ends of the earth
I will lead you to the ends of your dreams

The place is prepared and clear
Clear as the space that lies between
Between my eyes and the prize
The prize yearned for in dreams
Dreams that run wide and far
    Far into the future lead.
