Should I really be awake right now?
And who the heck does construction at 11am!? Oh wait…
Grrrrrrrr…..
Time for water and breakfast
“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
Well maybe you should cry.
And all of this life moves around you, for all that you claim you’re standing still, you are moving too.
One minute there was road beneath us, and the next, just sky…..
...Excuse me, are you lost? Perhaps you would care to visit the site map

I’m grateful for the good people in my life. Not just the fun ones, useful ones, or close ones, but the fundamentally good ones.
Enjoyed the blackout last week.. a nice setting for dinner and chatting by candlelight..
I played with fire. I like doing that. I also tried roasting marshmellows but they didn’t turn out so impressively (not enough space/height in the setting of the flames). Still fun, though.
Starting to see a pattern of what works and what doesn’t. That’s helpful.
I don’t sleep-in lately. Sleeping fine.. but lingering in bed in mornings when that’s an option ends up not working out. I guess that’s good.
Been eating sooo much lately.. Such good food at each meal… Sashimi, basil chicken, sesame chicken, brussel sprouts (surprisingly good.. compliments to the chef), pork, lamb and beef steaks barbequed, ice cream (in between meals)…
Been in a Decemberists/Album Leaf mood.. I think I came upon those two around the same time, ages ago. They fit well together.
Shiny was the first song that locked me for the Decemberists, I think.. and On Your Way for Album Leaf.
Decemberists’ storytelling would be especially appreciable at The Birchmere or similar.
Weather’s been really nice this summer.
So tomorrow’s August. Not sure what to say about that.
Things change. Or else never were.
I’m confused by the Transformers trailer. Are they supposed to be aliens? :-? Or maybe the Autobots and Decepticons are Cylons, camped out on a nearby planet, priming for attack?
Good and relevant quote:
“#1 – Battlestar Galactica:
‘Most of you probably think this entry has got to be a joke. The rest of you have actually watched the show.’” (Best of Television, 2005)
Quote of the day:
“They would twirl the emotional kaleidoscope until it gave them a picture that was comfortable.” source
Was a really beautiful day.
New show I like: Kyle XY
Yes, it’s a bit elementary since it’s from ABC’s Family channel, but I love watching the “blank slate” try to interpret and learn human lifestyle. Nonsensicals like “time” and “lying” and “sarcasm”.
I’m definitely ready for bed tonight. *sleepy*
My parents are… two of the greatest things in the world.
Gah… just remembered a few things I have to do before bed…..
...I really like my Winamp’s choices on Random.
Trying to find a song that says all at once what I mean.
shuffling through ten thou. songs is yielding no results.. usually reliable artists are failing me this time.
well, lunchtime.
Not sure what I’d like to say.. I’d like to say something. *yawn*
starting to feel …affinite ground.. the alternate wordchoice was ‘familiar’ but that’s not what I mean.
I have my first ever jury duty this week. It might be interesting..
Was on a walk around lake..
Scooped up a firefly from the air with my open palm..
Let him crawl to the my knuckles, and held my palm open with my fingers lightly closed… just let him ride as I walked.
For the rest of the walk, a bit over one and quarter miles, he rode on my hand. It drizzled a little bit.. My hand tickled.. He moved around a bit, but every time I looked, he was still there.
Had to shoo him off into the air when I got home before stepping inside…
But I appreciated the company.
