Evernote beta
I’ve used Evernote for a while, but am just starting to play with the new incarnation of Evernote: 3.0 beta.
I’ve always kept a notepad system, where I paste or jot notes all the time, for easy storage and reference. I never used the full powers of Evernote (2.2 and earlier), but it was nice being able to paste items and retain much of the formatting and gain automatic links back to the original text/images/objects..
My Dad was using it before I was, and I believe he uses it more extensively and with greater sophistication. He recently sent me an email invite to try out Evernote again, and I was thinking they just ran an update or something..
I barely recognized Evernote. The general concept seemed the same (clip and keep), but this is a whole other animal. An elephant, in fact. Everything’s different: the logo, the website style, the mode of the software — now web-based. I’m not giving up my old (2.2) Evernote (desktop version) yet, but I am a bit excited about this new (3.0 beta) Evernote (web version). I clipped my first media this morning: tickets receipt and concert information for Matt Wertz. :)
