everything i've been waiting for and more

slated in amusing at 1:42 am

Him: You don’t know what men live for! We are complex creatures with many intricacies requiring the utmost attention.

Me: Ninja, please. All you need is sex, food, beer, ESPN, and someone to tell you your clothes don’t match.

Him: Marry me! You forgot golf, but that’s okay. It will give us something to work on.

Evernote beta

slated in consumed at 5:17 pm
Evernote

I’ve used Evernote for a while, but am just starting to play with the new incarnation of Evernote: 3.0 beta.

Evernote

I barely recognized Evernote. The general concept seemed the same (clip and keep), but this is a whole other animal. An elephant, in fact. Everything’s different: the logo, the website style, the mode of the software — now web-based. I’m not giving up my old (2.2) Evernote (desktop version) yet, but I am a bit excited about this new (3.0 beta) Evernote (web version). I clipped my first media this morning: tickets receipt and concert information for Matt Wertz. :)

Anonymous seed paper

slated in consumed at 4:39 pm

For Green Week at work, they gave us nicely printed cards on seed paper (paper with seeds embedded in it) that we’re encouraged to plant at home. But no indication as to what kind of plants will grow out of these seeds. My conscience says “Yay! Plant seeds! Green is good!” My sense says, “I don’t want random and strange weeds or plant-strangling/man-eating shrubs at my house!”

Boo iTunes, yay The Weepies

slated in consumed at 10:21 pm

New Weepies album Hideaway arrived! Looking forward to listening to it.

It’s weird getting CDs (even cool autographed album covers), because I’m just going to burn it to my computer so that I can actually listen to it and access it anytime/put it on my mp3 player, etc..

Get Hideaway

*update: This really is an adorable (puppy huggable cute) album.
btw, Joshua Radin, Mandy Moore, Schuyler Fisk are in the credits. So is “Theo, who was closely involved with every aspect of this recording, from start to finish.”

slated in stuff at 8:13 pm

The word of the day is deceptivize, as in “to deceptively deceptivize“.

The Caps vs. Flyers game

slated in consumed at 7:20 pm

Went to my first hocky game ever..
I don’t think I’ve ever watched a serious chunk of hockey even on TV before.

My general expectations of impressions going in were all on base — it’s a pretty engaging, well-paced, high-contact game at which I cringe, gasp, and frequently want to scold the big men for being mean to each other.
